Laser Alignment &
Test Station

See our color-corrected F-Theta alignment and test station, which was designed and built in-house. The station is color corrected for 1030nm +/- 30nm. A galvo system with custom programming allows for active alignment of a subset of the optical elements to minimize spot size across multiple sensor positions simultaneously.

Ultra Precision
Diamond Turning

A large lightweight aluminium mirror will showcase Edmund Optics® manufacturing capabilities for ultra precision diamond turning of optical components, such as optical mirrors, infrared and plastic lenses, and mold inserts. Discover all about our cutting-edge diamond turning solutions for sizes ranging from 1 mm up to 1 m for Space, Semiconductor or Laser industries.

Building Blocks
for Your Lab

Discover the Optical Rail-Based Michelson Interferometer using Edmund Optics® cost-effective E-Series mechanics.

Ion Beam Sputtering of Tunable Bandpass Filters Applying Automated Chip Changing

Dielectric bandpass filters are used for various applications e.g. in telecommunication for wavelength division multiplexing or in medical instruments for fluorescence detection. Depending on the application different specifications regarding wavelength range, bandwidth, optical density and edge steepness are required.

Typically, these filters are realized in magnetron or ion beam sputtering processes that provide a very high precision. This contribution describes how the performance of bandpass filters is increased by designing for tunable AOI, reducing the production errors by automated monitoring chip changing, and pushing metrology limitation applying customized spectrophotometers.

Next-Generation F-Theta Lens: Color-Corrected Scan Lenses for Broadband and Ultrafast Applications.

Ultrafast and broadband laser applications demand precision-engineered F-Theta scan lenses that outperform traditional designs. As femtosecond and picosecond laser systems push bandwidth limits, issues like chromatic aberrations, field distortions, and spot elongation at high scan angles become critical.

Precise color correction is key to maintaining beam quality. This talk explores scan lens design challenges, balancing dispersion control, back reflections, and laser damage. We’ll compare pulse-specific strategies, highlight lateral color correction, and showcase our latest capabilities, material advancements, and collaboration opportunities.
